I started 47, L.L.C. because I wanted to create a business based on respect. Respect for customers, employees, and eventually shareholders. I chose the number 47 because of a group of friends of mine who believe in the phenomenon that is 47. We believe 47 has a special significance. Every time someone would find 47 out in the world they would come back and share it with the group. It is a way to bond together and to just be excited by life.
My goal is to make 47 so big that it eventually will be everywhere. And what 47 will stand for is respect for self and for everyone we interact with everyday.
So when 47 is everywhere, so will be respect.
